Scholarship Introduction:
The Enterprise Fellowship Awards aim to inspire the next generation of Nottingham entrepreneurs. Through this second call, we are offering up to three fellowships to researchers who want to further develop their innovation and explore the route to successful commercial exploitation.Each fellowship will offer a year’s salary to the researcher,and research related costs, travel and professional development(conditions apply). Charles Wallace India Trust Awards for those who complete Doctoral study in UK Universities – British Council – India.
Scholarship Introduction:
3 or 4 grants a year are given to help Indian nationals doing doctorates at UK universities who are in their final year. Currently £1000 they are meant as a contribution towards completing the doctorate.
Subjects covered include: history, literature, archaeology, philosophy, performing and creative arts
Subjects not covered include: management, sciences, economics, law, development studies, publishing

It now launches a new Inlaks Research Grants to assist registered Ph.D. students of Indian universities to undertake short-term visits to universities abroad to collect material, use facilities and consult experts.Inlaks Research Travel Grant” offers financial support for a maximum of 3 months at a university/institution/library abroad. Merit Fellowships/Graduate Society Term Time Research Awards 2011 for Dissertation Research at Harvard College – USA
Scholarship Introduction:
The Harvard Merit Fellowships and Graduate Society Term Time Awards for Dissertation Research are nowsimilar in terms of eligibility requirements and stipend; they are available to outstanding GSAS students in allfields, including the natural sciences (separate applications no longer exist). These fellowships are normally tobe held in the fourth or fifth year, or earlier, and are for the purpose of allowing the students to devote a greaterportion of their time to research, fieldwork, and writing than would otherwise be possible. Students must havepassed Generals and have an approved dissertation prospectus at the time of nomination, or be scheduled tohave approval by the time the award begins (the award otherwise will be forfeited if approval does notmaterialize).
The maximum grant is a single term standard cohort stipend (in FY10 it was $11,165 but may be subject tochange for the coming year). The award is taken for one semester, either fall or spring. Scholarship Introduction
Every year the Foundation provides 75 to 80 graduate scholarships in the amount of $30,000 for juniors preparing for careers in public service. Students must have strong leadership potential and interest in a career in government, education, uniformed services, or the not-for-profit sector. Beinecke Memorial Scholarships 2011 for juniors at Swarthmore college – USA
Scholarship Introduction:
Scholarships for juniors of strong potential who are interested in attending graduate school in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. Selection criteria include qualities of intellect, character, creativity, leadership, evidence of well-formulated plans for the future, and demonstrated financial need. The Dr. and Mrs. C.J. Huang Teaching Fellowship 2011 to support Education and Asia related issues at Stanford University – USA
Scholarship Introduction
The Huang Teaching Fellowship allows students to teach in rural China for one year, with the possibility of extending the experience one additional year. The fellowship provides roundtrip airfare, health insurance, year round language tutoring, comprehensive training before arrival at the school (cross-cultural, TESL, Chinese language instruction), $1000 readjustment allowance, year round home office and field support, travel to the annual conference in China, and $1000 in funding for a public service project. Public service projects developed by fellows in conjunction with the school have included:
- publication of a book of student writing and artwork in both English and Chinese
- development and distribution of a Hepatitis B education pamphlet geared toward youth
- a tree planting project in conjunction with US Arbor Day

International Public Service Fellowship 2011 offered by Haas Center for Public Service for Online Applicants – Stanford University – USA
Scholarship Introduction:
In partnership with the Freeman-Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) external link and under the auspices of the Stanford International Initiative, external link the Haas Center is launching an International Public Service Program to develop, implement, and coordinate activities that will allow undergraduates, graduating seniors, and co-terms to explore and expand their international service interests. Over several years, the Haas Center and FSI have seen a dramatic rise in student demand for experiences in civil society and government around the world. The International Public Service Program, when fully implemented, will include an undergraduate program, postgraduate fellowships, staffing for international service advising and outreach, and a faculty advisory body. Annual Fundraising Goal: $500,000. Individual Fellowship Endowments may be established beginning at $300,000. The International Public Service Fellow commits to 12 months of full-time work in a host national or international non-governmental organization (NGO), intergovernmental or national governmental agency located in a country not included on the State Department’s Travel Advisory list. The fellow must also commit to the following program requirements:
- Shortly after selection in Winter Quarter, schedule planning meeting with Haas Center and Freeman Spogli Institute advisers.
- Interview remotely with prospective field site hosts and mentors in Spring Quarter.
- Develop a learning plan prior to fellowship start in consultation with faculty mentor and Haas staff; discuss learning plan with host organization mentor.
- Complete mid-year and year-end reports as requested by Haas Center staff.

Jacob K. Javits Fellowships Program 2010 – 2011 at University of Chicago – USA
Scholarship Introduction;
This program provides fellowships to students of superior academic ability—selected on the basis of demonstrated achievement, financial need, and exceptional promise—to undertake study at the doctoral and Master of Fine Arts level in selected fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences. A board establishes the general policies for the program, selects the fields in which fellowships are to be awarded, and appoints distinguished panels to select fellows. Subject to the availability of funds, a fellow receives the Javits fellowship annually for up to the lesser of 48 months or the completion of their degree. The fellowship consists of an institutional payment (accepted by the institution of higher education in lieu of all tuition and fees for the fellow) and a stipend (based on the fellow’s financial need as determined by the measurements of the Federal Student Assistance Processing System. In fiscal year 2010, the maximum stipend was $30,000, and the institutional payment was $13,755.
