10 ESRC CASE Studentships 2010/11-Geography School-UK

The School of Geography alongwith ESRC-RIBEN offers 10 ESRC CASE studentships to Students with an ESRC recognised Masters degree at Southampton University for the year 2010/11 in UK

The newly created ESRC Retail Industry Business Engagement Network (RIBEN) involving the Universities of Southampton, Oxford, Leeds and Surrey seeks expressions of interest from prospective PhD students wishing to study retail and consumption topics (broadly defined) in conjunction with UK retail industry partners.

Studentship Details:

These fully-funded three year ESRC studentships will be allocated to commence Sept/Oct 2010. Depending on topic/industrial partner, they will be based at either the Schools of Geography, Universities of Southampton, Leeds; Said Business School, University of Oxford; or School of Management, University of Surrey. Applicants will be required to meet both the eligibility requirements of ESRC (regarding UK/EU status etc) and the doctoral student entry requirements and application deadlines of the prospective host university.

Who is eligible:

Students with an ESRC recognised Masters degree are preferred as these studentships will usually only offer +3 funding (i.e. three year PhD funding).
