A PhD position in Mathematical Physics (Quantum gravity) will be available in the Emmy Noether research group: Conceptual Questions of Quantum Gravity and Mathematical Structures in Three-dimensional Gravity. The starting date is June 2010 (or later). The successful applicant will work on a project related to three-dimensional (quantum) gravity in the framework of the group’s research programme under supervision of Dr. Catherine Meusburger.

The International Max Planck Research School on Adapting Behavior in a Fundamentally Uncertain World offers The Doctoral Fellowships for the year 2010/11 in Germany
This fellowship combines approaches from Economics, Law and Psychology to explain human decisions under uncertainty more effectively and to better design institutional responses. The Uncertainty- School is jointly hosted by the Max Planck Institutes at Jena, Berlin and Bonn, and the Psychology and Economics Departments of the FSU Jena. International Partners are the Department of Psychology of Indiana University, Bloomington, and the Interdepartmental Centre for Research Training in Economics and Management (CIFREM) at the University of Trento, and the Center for Rationality at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. The Cooperation Germany and von Humboldt Stiftung (VHS) offers The Research Prizes for the year 2010/11 to Dutch and German Senior Researchers in Germany and Netherlands
NWO has a cooperation agreement with the Von Humboldt Stiftung (VHS) in Bonn. Under this agreement, VHS makes two research prizes available each year to enable Dutch senior researchers to conduct their own research for a period of between 4 and 12 months at a German research institute, while NWO offers the same opportunity for two German senior researchers to conduct their own research in the Netherlands.
