Spencer Gulf Rural Health School (SGRHS) Honours Research Bursaries 2010/11-South Australia University-Australia

The University of South Australia offers The Spencer Gulf Rural Health School (SGRHS) Honours Research Bursaries to citizens or permanent residents of Australia for the year 2010/11 in Australia

SGRHS is offering four honours Bursaries to encourage research on topics related to rural, regional or remote health or Aboriginal health.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply for the scholarships, students must:

  1. be citizens or permanent residents of Australia
  2. be enrolled as a full time student in an Honours Program within the Division of Health Sciences at the University of South Australia, including Whyalla campus
  3. be undertaking a research project with a regional/rural/remote health or Aboriginal health focus undertake some field work/data collection outside of metropolitan Adelaide; and
  4. be supervised by at least one member of the SGRHS of Whyalla campus academic staff who may act as a principal or co-supervisor

How to Apply:

Recipients are required to:

  1. submit a copy of their thesis to SGRHS
  2. complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the project
  3. deliver a seminar to the staff of SGRHS at the conclusion of the project; and
  4. will be encouraged to disseminate the results of their project in a peer reviewed journal or at a relevant scientific or professional meeting.

Value of the Scholarship:

$4,000 for the year plus assistance with travel, accommodation and project costs.
