TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Léopold Nadeau Scholarships 2010/11-Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents-Canada

The Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation presents the TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Léopold Nadeau scholarships to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents for the year 2010/11 in Canada

One Engineers Canada-TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Léopold Nadeau scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to support an engineer returning to university for further study or research in the area of public policy development. The field of study chosen, whether it is engineering or another subject area, should favour the acquisition of knowledge pertinent to better serve the public interest by bringing the perspective of the engineering profession.


Eligibility:

  1. Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
  2. Be registered as a professional engineer/ingénieur in good standing with your provincial/territorial engineering association/ordre. Note: Engineers-in-training (across Canada) or junior engineers at l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec are not eligible,
  3. As of March 1, successful candidates must have renewed their memberships in order to receive the scholarship in October,
  4. Please note that post-doctoral Fellows are not eligible to apply,
  5. Past TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Léopold Nadeau scholarships recipients are not eligible to apply.


Selection Process:

Selection of the scholarship recipient will be based only on information provided with the application. Clarity is essential. Candidates must show how the degree undertaken fulfills the stated purpose for the scholarship. No restrictions are placed on scholarship applicants holding other grants or awards or receiving assistance or income from other sources. Scholarships are
attributed on the basis of (not necessarily placed in order of importance); academic achievements, area of studies and potential for impact in public policy related matters, work experience, as well as potential and motivation. During its deliberations, the selection committee will be guided by the percentage of curriculum dedicated to public policy.

Complete the application in full. All questions must be answered in the space provided on the application. If more space is needed, use additional sheets as instructed in the application check list and templates. Forward the completed application form along with the required documents listed below c/o the National Awards Program to arrive no later than March 1.
