Scholarship Introduction:
To promote conservation of rare and endangered flora in the United States through the programs of the Center for Plant Conservation, St. Louis, Missouri.The Beattie Fellowship was established by the Fullerton Foundation to honor Catherine H. Beattie, GCA president (1981-1983), outstanding arranger, and gardener devoted to the preservation of wildflowers.Provides one annual research grant of up to $4000, regarded as compensation for work at a botanical garden by the student, who jointly serves the program of the Center for Plant Conservation and his/her curricular studies.
Eligibility for scholarship:
Open to graduate students in biology, horticulture, or a related field. Preference is given to students whose projects focus on the endangered flora of the Carolinas and southeastern United States.
