The Fred C. Scribner Fellowships 2010/11-Dartmouth Seniors-USA

The Dartmouth College offers The Fred C. Scribner Fellowships for the year 2010/11 to Dartmouth Seniors for the year 2010/11 in USA

The Fred C. Scribner, Jr. 1930 Fellowship was established as a gift from the law firm of Pierce, Atwood, Scribner, Allen, Smith and Lancaster of Portland, Maine in honor of Mr. Scribner’s 80th Birthday.  Income from the fund is to be awarded to a graduating senior as he/she enrolls in an accredited law school.  Preference is to be given to Dartmouth seniors from the State of Maine.


Who may Apply:

Any graduating senior at Dartmouth College who is intending to attend law school in the fall of 2010.

Application Process:

A complete application file contains the following:

  1. Application Form
  2. Personal Statement, usually your law school essay
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation – These can be your graduate school letters of recommendation. Both letters should be from Dartmouth instructors who know your work well. Please provide each recommender a Recommendation Request Form and a copy of your personal statement.
  4. Official Transcript of all undergraduate courses
  5. Copy of your letter of acceptance from law school (If you have not received an acceptance yet or are on a wait list, please indicate this on a separate sheet.  The Fellowship will be contingent upon acceptance to law school.)


Application Miling Address:

The application must be opened and saved on your computer before completing.  Please complete in Adobe Reader and email to Scholarship.Advising@Dartmouth.edu with your personal statement as an attachment.  Please also send a hard copy of your application with personal statement to Scholarship Advising, 6201 Wentworth Hall, Rm 211, Hanover, NH  03755 or HB 6201.
